Dear Universe...
Yeah, another weird post - but couldn't hurt to try...
Dear Universe (or Universe admin),
Can I have ops please? Oh and terminal access with a list of op commands.
I've been at this game long enough, so I figure I know what would be needed so everyone plays nicely. Too much griefing or imba things in some aspects.
If not, that's ok too. Just figured it might be fun to tweak the gaming experience a little with some creative play.
A new gamer's guide or wiki would also be nice too. The old ones are outdated considering all the updates and changes that have been made to the game since those documents were released.
Likely I'll never see a real answer to this, but either way I still see humor to this seemingly pointless thing called the universe and my seemingly pointless existance within it.

If there's another GTA...
I think it would be cool if it had a European setting. Just saying. Miami, L.A., and New York have all been done. Might be neat to see something in Paris or Moscow for a change. Maybe even Berlin? And I don't care if the dialog would require subs at times. I just think that something seedy, yet non-american may have an appeal to it.

It's ok so far...
What's the topic about? I guess it's about how I'm doing. (I'm not living from my car or a cardboard box at least. So I can be thankful for that.) I'm trying to see if I got responses from job applications, following up on random old email addresses I have floating around in my contacts lists, and listening to some cool music from Archive.org (I should make a post reviewing that sometime) on a 2nd-hand iPod Nano using Floola.
Oh yeah, yesterday I even went as far as hand delivering my resume and example graphics to a place I saw posting in a newspaper help wanted ad. (If they respond wanting an interview, I'll know how to get there too.) There are signs that the economy is as overdue to pick up as much as I'm overdue to get a job since graduating college just over two years ago. (We both need the cash flow, right?) So we'll see... At least I'm thinking I might have a shot at it.

Strange Fermilab code letter...
There's some crazy code from chickenscratch that SlashDot is currently talking about. Looks a bit interesting, but I can't quite figure it out. Somebody did get two lines of text out of the top and bottom portions, but the middle and encrypted parts of the text still boggle the mind...
Supposedly the image is a fax to Symmetry magazine of a page that Fermilab got sent in the mail. Mail is posted from Chicago... But you know what would make it even more funny, is if the postage date would coincide closely with the O'Hare UFO sighting. Now that would be funny.
Imagine if SETI could never get a signal, but "noise" in some various instrument reading particle counts in an accelerator was actually part of some transmission mechanism we don't yet know about. That would be funny, but I don't know if any aliens would be as blunt as to drop off mail through regular postage at an airport to get a message across. (Provided aliens even bother coming by this planet - if they can reach it.) As for the encryption? Crop glyphs aren't exactly in plain english either, but rather puzzle-like. Aliens coming by to drop off a hastily scribbled note to give a stronger clue would make for a funny work of fiction or such. But why not just email the thing?
