Fun with audio and FOSS

There's this cool program called Hydrogen, which when combined with Audacity, could be quite fun. Default-wise, it's rigged to be a pretty nifty drum machine. But it's actually pretty simple to re-jigger the thing by playing with patterns and changing instrument layers that it can be used as a fairly basic sample sequencer. (It's much better for looping and timing than Audacity.) So by chopping up recorded soundbites with Audacity, saving them as .wavs and then replacing the drum samples with those - whee! Cool stuff! Then the resulting .wav output can be converted back to .mp3 via Audacity. I would think it would be relatively easy to then use the open-source software to create something like this. But what do I know?

Displaced anti-neutrons and gravity

Let's say there's a particle that's the opposite of the neutron and it can't really annihilate a neutron because it carries no charge. (It's like slamming inert objects into each other, not much bang to it.) But it does displace space, and being the opposite it will still try to get at the neutron. But the magnetic forces/dynamics inherent in atoms push these particles out like little spinning tops.

So these little displaced things take up volume and push the atoms together. Regular charges don't affect anti-neutrons, since the opposite charge of neutral is neutral. :p You get enough of this stuff, and it probably accounts for matter that can't be accounted for. That and its displacement might have something to do with the phenomena we call gravity. (Think of it as a relational vector buoyancy between objects based upon relative displacement rather than a direct field effect force. But that's crazy, isn't it?)

But you could probably find some neat things if you could tweak magnetic fields right. I'd be willing to bet you could do some neat photo-electric things with 'em as well. You might be able to change the particle to something other than an anti-neutron or make it blind to the neutron and slip on by.

This just might be the trick to kick-starting gravitics, and anti-neutrons just might be axions. But what do I know.

My new favorite place on google maps!

????? ??!!????? ???????! ?? ????~ !!??????? ????? ???? ????? ???????? ??? ????? ??!!????? ???????! ?? ????~ !!??????? ????? ???? ????? ???????? ??? ????? ??!!????? ???????! ?? ????~ !!??????? ????? ???? ????? ???????? ??? ????? ??!!????? ???????! ?? ????~ !!??????? ????? ???? ????? ???????? ??? ????? ??!!????? ???????! ?? ????~ !!??????? ????? ???? ????? ???????? ???... Oh wait! This blog is supposed to be in English damnit! (Afterall that's the point of having an English language title in the first place. Duuuh!) What was I thinking?

Anyhow, I think I've found my new favorite place on google maps. (Besides, the giant earwig has left Aarlesburg, so it's not as funny anymore.)

Why would a UFO show at O'hare?

It seems silly that a UFO would show up at O'hare International Airport of all places... Why the hell would aliens arive there? Certainly it can't be only to test rumors that Federal authorities there go particularly soft on aliens. (Even if it does seem to have some merit in regards to the illegal variety.)

So why would a UFO show in Chicago? It also happens that within the same timeframe, there was an astro-biology conference. So the UFO could be part of a simple insertion operation. No blinky lights or such shows, so it's not like they wanted to be seen. Rather, what better place could you drop off a strange individual amongst others and not be noticed? A busy airport of course! Who would notice any quirks in a person, amongst crowds of quirky and strange travelers at an international airport? So if there's an alien (of the non-terrestrial variety) in Chicago, he's probably mingling in a conference looking like a normal human and studying our level of understanding of who or what just might be out there. It's like us seeing what primitive cultures think of our existance, and possibly finding interest in the lore of some cargo-cult. It's entertaining and you learn just how weird other viewpoints can be in light of your own understanding. If that's what alien researchers are doing, then I can't blame 'em.

Someone patented my time-machine? I cite prior art and public domain!

Anyhow, some knobber decided to patent my paired lithium proton micro-singularity contained with magnetic isolators and phased/driven with an orbital photon modulator time machine idea. His description is a bit more vague materials wise, but the layout matches. (And I probably ripped off what I could loosely grasp of the Titor device.) But I say that I've had prior art to the idea by around 3 years already. Not to mention I put it out on the web in various places...

Here's the patent... (2006)

And here's a bit at my old ass angelfire site which requires some looking... (Watch out for pop-ups.) It was last updated in 2003. Someone could argue that I changed it. Well guess what? Try finding the site on archive.org and see what their results will show. Hah!

I believe I have other posts about it at some random forums as well (probably where it got ripped off from) all under the same name as I use at this blog or anonymously (if I don't have to register). But googling them is near impossible with the search terms I can come up with. Seems I was ahead of the game, as people are actually researching the shit for real now. lol... Weird, but in a cool way.

BTW, if you're wanting to use my idea and not milk it for money - go ahead. I'm making it open source. (Like Santos Dumont did with his Demoiselle to get the airplane industry kick-started beyond the Wrights patent restricted designs.) So if the patent guy gives you any trouble, I'll back you up on your claim of there being prior art. And it's public domain too, if you search enough the details are floating out there on earlier dates outside of the patent and/or request...

Of course if you're really underhanded and the thing works, you can go back 10 years and have the stinking patent. I probably won't find out about it until later research. And it'll be difficult if not impossible to enforce unless someone is crazy enough to try mass producing the things. So it's kind of stupid to fret over.

Oh yeah... I also post by the name Jû§†Ãñõ†hê®Ðüdë over at MSN forums. Some Weird Space postings cover the device with enough detail and predate the patent application by at least a year.
Non-nuclear triggered fusion idea.
Orbital Photon Modulator.
Paired micro-singularities. (Might not be old enough, but there still are other places.)
